Open tracking

What Opened means

Opened appears on an outbound message only after Postmark reports an open for that exact message. The label is tied to the sent message, not to the whole conversation.

What is not shown

If Postmark has not reported an open, InboxNest shows no open label. There is no outbound Unread or Not opened state. A missing label only means InboxNest has not received an open event for that message.

Limits of the signal

Image blocking, privacy protections, and some mail clients can prevent or distort open tracking. An open event is a useful signal, not guaranteed proof that a human read the message. Treat it as supporting context when you decide what to follow up on.
