Learn how to connect a domain, add a branded inbox address, and start answering customer email in InboxNest.

The shortest path

InboxNest gives each product a branded support address and keeps the replies in one inbox. The fastest way to first success is:

  1. Add a domain.
  2. Choose Direct MX or Forwarding.
  3. Add the exact records or forwarding rule shown on the domain setup screen.
  4. Wait for InboxNest to verify the connection.
  5. Create or connect the branded inbox address.
  6. Use Send a test email so InboxNest sends a real message through the inbound route.
  7. Reply from InboxNest after the conversation appears in Inbox.

Choose a receiving mode

This choice matters more than any individual DNS field. Read Direct MX or forwarding? before you edit MX records.

  • Direct MX makes InboxNest the inbound destination for the domain.
  • Forwarding keeps the current mailbox working and sends only the branded address to InboxNest.
