Connect a domain

Add the exact DNS records shown on your InboxNest domain setup screen, then return to verify the connection.

Where to add records

Add records at the company that actually hosts authoritative DNS, not necessarily the registrar printed on your invoice. InboxNest detects nameservers when it can. If the host is recognized, the setup screen links to the matching guide. If it is not, use this page and the records shown in your account.

Namecheap, GoDaddy, or another registrar is not automatically the DNS host. If nameservers point at Cloudflare, Squarespace, or somewhere else, add the records there.

How to enter the records

Open the domain setup screen and copy each Type, Host, and Value with the copy controls beside those fields. Public examples are placeholders only:

Type: MX
Host / Name: @
Value / Target: record-value-shown-in-inboxnest
Priority: the priority shown in InboxNest
TTL: Use the provider default, or the TTL shown in InboxNest if one is listed.

Host, value, priority, and TTL

Host / Name is often @ for the root, or a hostname such as a DKIM selector. If the provider appends the domain automatically, do not paste your-domain.com a second time.
Value / Target / Data must match the InboxNest value exactly, including any trailing text InboxNest displays.
Priority applies to MX records. Use the number InboxNest shows.
TTL can usually stay on the provider default unless InboxNest shows a required value.

For Cloudflare CNAME or hostname-verification records that support proxying, choose DNS only. MX and TXT records are not proxied; do not look for an orange-cloud setting on those types.

Verify in InboxNest

Save the records at the DNS host, return to InboxNest, and click Verify setup. Changes can appear quickly, but DNS caches and TTL values can delay what InboxNest sees. If verification fails, wait and retry before making more edits. See DNS troubleshooting.
